Lip Seal V Type Ring

V-rings can be used for shaft seals and hole seals.

The following figure is a schematic diagram of the section structure of the V-shaped axis seal, which is mainly composed of a combination of pressure ring, 3~7 V-rings and support ring.

The lip of the V-shaped ring surplus with the shaft (plunger), which will produce certain deformation after assembly. Due to the action of the support ring, the deformation only occurs in the lip, so that it produces pre-tightening force with the sliding surface and has the effect of “self-sealing”.

V-ring seal is suitable for hydraulic oil, water and emulsion and other media, using pressure up to 40MPa, surface line speed of 0.5m · s-1, good sealing performance, allowing certain eccentric movement, impact pressure and vibration pressure.

V-rings can be used in multiple combinations, suitable for high pressure, large diameter and long stroke and other working conditions.

When the medium pressure, the lip and the sliding surface contact more closely, the medium is difficult to pass, produce the first sealing effect, if there is leakage, be sealed in the second V-ring, so continuous until the leakage is prevented, to achieve the sealing effect.

The combination number of V-ring depends on the pressure size of the working medium. Generally, the pressure is large and the number is large, but the friction resistance increases, and the lip wear also increases.
